Founded in 1958, Littleton Sailing Club was the Civil Service Sailing Association’s first active club, and it continues to thrive today as a welcoming and vibrant community for sailors of all abilities. Situated between Shepperton and Chertsey in Surrey, our members enjoy exclusive use of a picturesque 80-acre lake that provides ideal conditions for sailing throughout the year.
The club has grown to around 400 members and offers much more than just sailing. Alongside a busy calendar of dinghy sailing and racing, members can also enjoy windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Club racing takes place at weekends all year round, with additional evening races on Thursdays during the summer months. For those looking to build confidence on the water, we also run relaxed improver sessions on Wednesday evenings through the summer.
Our adopted dinghy classes include Solos, Lasers and Comets, supported by an active handicap fleet. You can find full details of our sailing programme on our club calendar.
Beyond the water, Littleton is known for its friendly atmosphere and lively social scene. Members regularly come together for events, training sessions, and club socials, and keep in touch through a quarterly newsletter, regular e-bulletin, and our Facebook page.
Membership is open to everyone, you don’t need to be part of the Civil Service to join, and new members are always warmly welcomed.
